Adam Byford - Student Software Engineer
I'm a 19 year old undergraduate studying software engineering at the University of Leicester currently in my 2nd year. My favourite modules I have completed so far are: UI Design & Evaluation,Software Architecture, and Databases and Domain modelling
I develop a wide variety of software with a particular focus on App and web development. Some of my favourite projects I've completed are my IOS incremental game and this portfolio website you're currently on.

Portfolio Website V2
This is the Second iteration of my portfolio website, showcasing my projects and skills.
Journal Electron App
Designed a Journal app in figma and developed it using Electron and SQLite 3. Pixel art elements hand drawn in Pixel Studio. User can write,view, update and delete entries as well as being able to export all entries to a text file and mass delete entries.
Keyboard E-shop
Developed a Keyboard E-shop in typescript using Next.js and Tailwind for the front end, the user is able to browse products and add them to their cart but there is no payment API implemented. Fetching products was implemented using api calls to a custom Spring MVC program which fetched product details from a MySQL database.
Financial Tracker
Developed a financial tracker web app in typescript using react, firebase and tailwind to enable tracking of the users financial health via logging income,expenses and investments. Real time price of the investments is shown via API Integration.
Portfolio Website V1
Designed and developed a responsive portfolio website to showcase projects and professional experience.Created dynamic visual effects, including a mouse-responsive gradient background.
IOS Incremental Game
Developed an incremental game based around the journey from classical to quantum computers for IOS devices using SwiftUI and Swift Data to manage game state.
Media Based Matching App
Developed a media-based matching app using SwiftUI and Firebase to allow users to find content they both want to watch.Users connect via a friends system which is powered by firebase and then are shown various movies whose details are retrieved through the TMDB API.
IOS To Do List App
Developed a to do list app using Swift and SwiftUI for IOS devices. I used Swift Data to store the data for the app and ensured compatibility with Ipads.
AI Storyteller
Developed an AI Storyteller website using a Transformers.js LLM model to create interactive stories based on user input and GSAP to create an interactive home page.
Discord Economy Bot
Developed a discord bot that allows users to earn currency through various commands and minigames. The bot uses SQLite to store user data and pycord to interact with the discord API.
Dart Weather CLI App
Developed a weather app using dart that allows you to access the weather for any city in the world through a command line tool using the WeatherAPI.com API.
Pokemon Guessing Game
Developed a Pokemon guessing game using the PokeAPI and Electron as a chance to learn how to implement Electron and leverage APIs within my projects.
